I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ll say it again, I photograph a lot of football, this week for example i’m shooting three games. Well, high school games started a couple of weeks ago and these are three shots from the early games. What I like about high school football is the kids are playing just to have fun.
Wakeboarding is pretty cool, I have photographed the water ski and wakeboarding national championships a few times, but that was several years ago. A couple of weeks ago wakeboarding came to Knoxville and I was on the tow boat to make some photos. This was much different than I was used to, more open, ramps on the water, slower pace and a lot of fun. I have been on many big boats, sail boats, tanker ships, private yachts and such, but I don’t think I had ever been in a speed boat before. I have fun except on the left hand turns( I was on the left side), something about seeing into the water just several inches from me. Here are a few acrobatic shots I liked from the event…
Soccer is actually one of my favorite sports, and here in Tennessee they split up the boys and girls soccer times. The boys play in the spring (when I used to soccer being played) and girls play in the fall. Well, the season has started and I photographed a couple of games during the spring jamboree. Here are a couple of shots I liked from the pitch, I wish I could shoot more soccer…it’s one sport that is still unpredictable and that is always nice.

It seems as though I have been covering a lot of races lately, this is one from Memorial Day weekend, the Tennessee Sports Medicine Expo 10k. I had fun, but I am not running farther than down the sideline at a football game.
Well, this was Tennessee’s last baseball game of the season and my first chance to cover the team. I really have had a lot of fun at baseball this year and have made many photos that still make me happy.

Recently I photographed the Knoxville Marathon. I also shot some video, just playing around a bit in between shots. I ended up putting together a video presentation that I liked and you can see that on the multimedia page. I’ve been shooting this race since I moved to Knoxville and every year I find something new to make a nice photo, here are a couple of shots.
Baseball season is in full swing! Lately I have been enjoying the games more than I have in quite a while. Maybe it’s just that I have been fortunate and there has been lots of action early in the games.
