One more game
Posted in Sports on December 16th, 2009 by Chad Greene – Be the first to commentWell I thought football was done and sure enough I spent last Saturday at a game. I was at the Tennessee East West All-Star High School game covering the East and they lost by 3. Did I mention it was cold…I had hand warmers all over the place, pockets, shoes, hat, back…I hate being cold but still had fun.

Christmas Parade
Posted in Photography on December 14th, 2009 by Chad Greene – Be the first to commentKnoxville had their annual Christmas parade not long ago and I decided to try some new things. I went up to the top of one of the buildings downtown and set up there. I ended up shooting what will be, when I have time to edit, a time lapse video of the parade. I hope to finish that and market it to the city soon so be on the look out for that later next year. At the same time I shot some with the 300mm lens and these are a couple of those shots.

Basketball already?
Posted in Sports on December 14th, 2009 by Chad Greene – Be the first to commentIt’s basketball time already! As I have mentioned before I shoot a lot of sports and it’s now basketball time I see. I’m not a big fan of basketball, by that I mean it is my least favorite sport…but I still shoot a lot of it and I am underway for another season. I was hired by Texas to be their women’s road team photographer for the game against Tennessee and actually had a good amount of fun. Lots of friends at the game along the baseline and in the stands. This is one of the shots from the game, Texas lost…

Soldiers
Posted in Photography on December 14th, 2009 by Chad Greene – Be the first to commentThe next morning I went out to see the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment leave for deployment. The reserve unit was leaving for training until February when they will be deployed to Iraq. It was a very cold morning and the soldiers families were all there to see them off. It’s always sad to see loved ones go but I have a hard time imagining how I would feel in this situation. I hope to the opportunity to photograph all of them returning home safe and happy to be back with family again.

Tree planting
Posted in Photography on December 14th, 2009 by Chad Greene – Be the first to commentBusy, busy busy…and now for some updates! I’ve been running from one assignment to the next and loving every minute of it. A couple of weeks ago it snowed, I’m not loving winter. I had already scheduled four shoots for the day so off I went in the snow for the first. People gathered across the city to plant Dogwood trees and they continued planting in the snow. More then 300 trees were planted along the city’s greenways and historic neighborhoods. Actually in this case I think the snow helped the photo. It is a little tree so it looks like a twig and the snow really help bring out the subject of this.

Last high school game of the year
Posted in Sports on December 2nd, 2009 by Chad Greene – Be the first to commentWell, it appears this is the end of my football coverage for this season. I need to update my Tennessee images from the last few games but here is my last high school game of the year. I was in Maryville last Friday for a good game and even though it was way to cold for me I had fun. I almost always have fun while working but in this case I had a new camera and good action. This is one of many that I liked…soon it will be on to basketball season and even better I might start picking up some hockey games again, woohoo hockey!

Thanksgiving
Posted in Photography on December 2nd, 2009 by Chad Greene – Be the first to commentWow, I have been busy! For Thanksgiving I was went down to the homeless shelter and made photos of the days feast. More than 1400 meals were served at three locations here in Knoxville. I turned in eight shots in total but I really like this one. It’s a general Thanksgiving photo but I like all the hands and plates and food and the feeling it has.
